About the project
DeepFakesUG investigates how convolutional neural networks can distinguish genuine and counterfeit Ugandan banknotes from smartphone photographs. The project compares several model architectures and integrates a selected model into a smartphone application for offline, on-device checks, supporting practical research on currency authentication during everyday transactions.
